Summary: wonderful waffle maker
Comment: I purchased this waffle maker for my mother because she loves mine just like it. I have had mine for years. In the last 30 years I have had only 2 of them. They last forever and cook even. You can adjust the crispness of them which is good because I like mine real crisp and my boys like theirs softer. I just love this waffle maker and would advise everyone to get one.

Summary: This is wonderful and not just for waffles
Comment: I LOVE this product. I have made Waffles, eggs, and Grilled chicken on it. YES Grilled chicken. It was by far the best grilled chicken we have ever had. My husband said we can never grill chicken any other way. It was crispy like fried chicken. WONDERFUL... Just spray griddle with a little butter flavored cooking spray season the chicken to your taste. Put chicken on close and wait. It does not take long at all. By the time I steamed my veggies it was ready. Perfect for any of you who are trying to loose a few pounds this year.

Summary: Maybe a good grill but not so for waffles
Comment: If you are looking for a waffle maker then buy a waffle maker and not this items that claims to also be a grill. Did a lousy job of cooking the first batch of waffles. Sticking like crazy to the top plate that was well oiled. The non-stick surface isn't. Also very slow to heat up. Outside surface is as hot as the plates because of the placement of heating element between surface and plate. I liked the idea of removable plates but no more.
I will try to return and buy a true waffle maker.

Comment: Overall this is a good product. The only complaint I have is that the lid doesn't really have any weight to it to press down on the meat evenly but it made the burgers fine. The waffle side worked great.

Summary: Every first waffle sticks and now even the second waffle sticks
Comment: This waffle iron from day one has been nothing but a problem. Our old waffle iron died and we had made wonderful waffles on it for several years, practically each Sunday. We purchased this item and every first waffle always sticks. Our favorite dinner has now just not been happening because this waffle iron has ruined it. The first waffle always sticks. This past Sunday we tried it after the first one stuck and the second one stuck too. We know how to make waffles, have read and followed every instruction to the letter and no dice. The waffles get so stuck that the waffle iron won't even open. We'll be looking for a new waffle iron.
