Summary: easy, fast, and safe
Comment: I was so scared the first time I went to use it, but I read the directions about 5 times, and found that it was easy.
I did it the first time when my son was 1 month old, on his back holding his ankles up, like when I change his diaper. It worked fine, and I could hold him still for the 10 seconds until it beeped. He didn't even seem to notice it was there.
I think it's very accurate. When I've thought his temp was high, it's read 99.8 or 99.1. So I know not to worry yet.

Comment: This was a fabulous thermometer. The doctor always rolls their eyes when you do an ear or under arm temp -- but I could always say that it was a rectal temp -- easy to use and clean.

Comment: Don't waste your money on other baby thermometers! This is the one that you need to get your baby's temperature really fast. It is very easy to use and your baby won't feel any pain or any discomfort.

Comment: My pediatrician recommended a rectal thermometer because it is the most accurate. I was not happy about it until I found this one! Nobody wants to do this to their child but this gets a fast accurate reading and you know for sure you are not hurting them by putting it in too far. Love it!
